Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the client’s full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, audit preparation, financial reporting, and tax compliance. The candidate must possess solid knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and FTA (Federal Tax Authority) procedures, along with hands-on experience in corporate tax filing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow management.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate financial documentation and compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings, FTA correspondence, and compliance with UAE tax laws.
  • Prepare and file Corporate Tax returns and maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE tax regulations.
  • Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support management decisions.
  • Liaise with customers, vendors, and auditors on accounting and financial matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to company financial policies and reporting standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Bachelor of Commerce (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including UAE experience.
  • Proven expertise in VAT filing, FTA dealings, and Corporate Tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, and C1 (preferred).
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced AML Account Manager to strengthen our compliance function. This role is responsible for ensuring client accounts fully comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations, while providing professional support to clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong regulatory knowledge, analytical ability, and account management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned client accounts with a focus on AML/CFT compliance.
  • Conduct client due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and periodic reviews to ensure up-to-date KYC documentation.
  • Monitor daily transactions and escalate suspicious activity in accordance with regulatory obligations.
  • Prepare compliance reports, risk assessments, and detailed documentation to support audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients regarding AML/CFT requirements, providing timely and accurate guidance.
  • Collaborate with risk, legal, and operations teams to strengthen internal AML frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
  • Stay current with UAE Central Bank regulations, FATF guidelines, and international AML/CFT developments.
  • Assist in the creation and improvement of internal AML policies, procedures, and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in AML, compliance, or financial account management (MANDATORY).
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT practices and regulations (UAE and international).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field (required).
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English is MANDATORY (written and verbal).
  • Ability to handle clients on a daily basis, advanced knowledge in email correspondence, and can work independently.
